PBA Postpones Games Due to Typhoon Uwan

The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) has announced the postponement of its scheduled double-header on Sunday, November 9, 2025, because of the threat posed by Typhoon Uwan (international name: Fung-Wong) in the Philippines.

The league confirmed that the games between TNT Tropang Giga and Magnolia Hotshots, as well as Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings versus Titan Ultra, will be delayed as a safety precaution amid the severe weather disturbance.

“In light of the incoming Super Typhoon Uwan, and with the safety of our fans, players, officials, and staff as our top priority, the PBA has decided to postpone its Sunday, November 9 games,” the league said in a statement.

Scheduled Matches Overview

The double-header was originally set to take place at the Ynares Montalban Arena. The Tropang Giga (5-1) were aiming to defend their four-game winning streak, having previously defeated Converge, Titan Ultra, Meralco, and Terrafirma in an overtime game.

Meanwhile, the Magnolia Hotshots were seeking to recover from a narrow 92-94 loss to the San Miguel Beermen.

Other Teams' Momentum

Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings and Titan Ultra were both coming into the matches with positive momentum. The Gin Kings dominated NLEX 104-74, while Titan Ultra recently secured a 97-86 win against Blackwater.
