Mark Watson, a Catholic trustee, has resigned from the school board after facing criticism for not repaying expenses for a trip to Italy.
The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board confirmed receipt of Watson's resignation, who represented Haldimand County on the board.
“We respect Trustee Watson’s decision to step down from the Board and will move forward, collaboratively, with a continued focus on teaching and learning, student well-being, and the strategic priorities that guide our Catholic school system,”
said board chair Carol Luciani.
