Colorado Springs Police reported that Kendon Ray, a 34-year-old listed sex offender, turned himself in and confessed to attempting to lure a young boy into a store bathroom along E Platte Avenue. The incident allegedly occurred on Monday, December 1, at noon. Following the confession, officers located the victim and CSPD’s Forensic Interview Unit conducted a forensic interview. Ray was arrested for Enticement of a Child, a Class Four Felony, and is being held without bond in the El Paso County Jail. His first court appearance is scheduled for December 16. According to the Colorado Sex Offender Tracking and Registration database (SOTAR), Ray previously convicted in 2009 of Sex Offense - 2nd Degree Assault for causing injury with a deadly weapon when he was 18.
