Demand for Grains on the Rise in Australia
Buyer demand for grains in Australia has increased as domestic users seek to cover their needs ahead of the new crop harvest.
Some exporters are also buying to accumulate and carry old crop as a precautionary measure before executing on early shipping slots.
- 28 grades of wheat, barley, canola, lentils, lupins, maize, and oats were traded.
- 37 buyers purchased grain nationally through Clear Grain Exchange and igrainX.
- Buyers were active across various markets, including Queensland, NSW, Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia.
This increased demand saw many grain prices lift closer to grower targets last week.
Growers with capacity are able to take advantage of conditions.
