Ron DeSantis' Fundraising Performance
Ron DeSantis has submitted a relatively weak fundraising quarter, with his Florida Freedom Fund collecting $529,000.
Although this amount is not insignificant on its own, it is less than a tenth of what the fund raised in its first full quarter after starting operations in mid-May 2024, which was nearly $5.7 million.
- In the next quarter, the fund collected $2.8 million.
- Then it raised $1.6 million and $1.3 million in the following two quarters, respectively.
These amounts are lower compared to the sums DeSantis raised through another state PC, which is now closed and used to register quarterly sweeps in the millions and tens of millions.
He has only raised less than that twice before, and both were during notable downtimes.
