The ninth-generation Toyota Hilux pickup truck debuted in Thailand, marking a decade since the previous model launch. Known globally for its durability and occasionally transporting heavy automatic weapons, the Hilux now enters the electric vehicle market.

Powertrain Options

Toyota emphasizes its “multi-pathway approach” with the introduction of an electric variant alongside upcoming diesel and hydrogen fuel cell versions. The pickup will be offered in both single- and double-cab styles, but European markets will only receive the double-cab due to sales preferences.

Driving Range

Toyota says the new Hilux BEV will be able to go roughly 150 miles (240 kilometers) on a full charge, based on the WLTP cycle.
