The Government Rewrites January 6 History

Two federal prosecutors have been placed on leave by the Justice Department after references to the January 6 Capitol event were removed from court filings (pressdemocrat.com).

This suggests, according to the government, that the event never happened. Countries that have altered or forgotten parts of their history include Russia, Hungary, China, and Germany.

“What else would the Justice Department want us to forget? For me that would be ‘land of the free and home of the brave.’ When this description hits the dustbin of history, then what?”

Another Audit Isn’t the Answer for Santa Rosa Schools

Teachers and staff at Santa Rosa City Schools are requesting another audit of the district’s finances (“Teachers union rallies for outside audit,” Nov.). However, an audit only verifies if spending and balances are properly recorded, not the necessity or effectiveness of spending.

Audits are time-consuming and costly, resources that the staff and district lack. Past audits of the district’s finances consistently returned near-perfect results and typically take about six months.

Using the Public Records Act, I reviewed detailed financial records a few years ago and analyzed the numbers thoroughly.
