Germany: Climate Protest at Berlin TV Tower

A few days before the UN Climate Change Conference (COP30), 14 Greenpeace activists held a demonstration by projecting imagery on Germany’s tallest building, the Berlin TV Tower. Multiple projectors transformed the silver sphere, situated 200 meters above the ground, into a burning globe.

The message “Act Now!” was projected onto the tower’s shaft, aimed at German Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU), who was set to speak before the official start of the conference in Belém, Brazil.

Sweden: Forest Art Installation Protects Nature

In collaboration with Greenpeace, artist and illustrator Marc “UÅ” Strömberg created unique artworks in a forest south of Vängel in Jämtland, threatened by logging. This installation coincided with a temporary ban on logging issued by the Swedish Environmental Court against the forestry company SCA.

The artworks feature colorful forest animals defending their home, symbolizing resistance to SCA’s unsustainable forestry practices.
