The full intersection of Airport Road and Hengrove Way will be closed overnight from Monday, November 10th to Wednesday, November 12th, between 20:00 and 06:00. The closure will affect bus services 37, 74, and m1 to allow continued carriageway works.
To Avonmouth, the route will divert from the bottom of Leinster Avenue and return to its regular path at Hengrove Park. The bus stops between and including Inns Court and Paddock Gardens on Bamfield will be out of service. Passengers should use either the Hurston Road stop on Leinster Avenue or the Hengrove Park stop instead.
Towards Hengrove Depot, the service will operate normally up to the junction of Salcombe Road and Airport Road, then divert to the depot in both directions. Creswicke Road and Filwood Green Business Park stops will not be served. Riders should board or alight at the Bideford Crescent stop on Throgmorton Road.
In this direction, the bus stops at Filwood Green Business Park, Creswicke Road, and both Airport Road stops will be skipped. Passengers should use the Hengrove Depot stop or any stop along Throgmorton Road.
The m1 line heading to Hengrove Park will continue to serve the Novers Lane stop, then go around the roundabout and divert via Hartcliffe Way and Whitchurch Lane in both directions.
“Passengers are advised to check alternative stops before travel and allow extra time for their journeys.”
Overnight closures on Airport Road and Hengrove Way from November 10–12 will modify routes for services 37, 74, and m1, with diversions affecting several local bus stops.
