Florida Atlantic men's basketball team secured their first win of the season against Boston College on Monday night, with an 83-78 overtime victory.
Guard Yohann Sissoko was the hero, making a game-saving three-pointer to seal the win in front of a sold-out Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.
"I don't know that this [game] was pretty, maybe that's just part of it, but what our guys did show is some real fight and resolve,"
said head coach John Jakus, praising his team's determination. The win marked the third time a power conference opponent has played at "The Elly" in four years.
Following a 42-point win against Florida Tech, with guard Devin Vanterpool scoring 24 points, the team was eager to continue their winning streak.
