Playcrafters to present ‘The Thanksgiving Play’ in Skippack
The best laid plans go awkwardly awry with unintended consequences in this cleverly comical attempt to accurately depict the Pilgrims’ first Thanksgiving.
Like the old proverb about the road to hell being paved with “good intentions,” sometimes, the most well-meaning of souls end up heading in the wrong direction.
In the case of Playcrafters’ upcoming satirical comedy, “The Thanksgiving Play,” by Larissa FastHorse, things on stage go sideways fast in this wickedly funny production that made its Broadway debut in 2023 and was nominated for several awards by the Drama League and the Theater World, including Outstanding Revival of a Play.
FastHorse is the first female native American with a stage play on Broadway.
