iOS 26.1 Release Candidate Now Available
Apple has released the iOS 26.1 release candidate to beta testers ahead of the software update's official release.

The biggest news from iOS 26.1 is the introduction of the Liquid Glass toggle, which allows users to choose between clear and tinted designs.
- The tinted option changes the opacity level behind elements like notifications and tab bars.
- Other Liquid Glass visual elements, such as optional clear app icons, are still present.
Accessing the Liquid Glass Toggle
The toggle can be found in:
- Settings > Display & Brightness > Liquid Glass on iPhone and iPad
- Settings > Appearance > Liquid Glass on Mac
The new preference is in addition to existing accessibility settings like increase contrast, reduce transparency, and more.
