Thousands of international students in Hungary may face tightened scholarship contracts due to a recent scandal at ELTE.
A lecture by historian Alexander Yakobson from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem was disrupted on October 16, leading to suspension.
The lecture series, titled "Diverzitás és demokrácia az izraeli társadalomban", is still available on ELTE's website.
The incident began when students wearing keffiyehs shouted that the lecture was political propaganda, claiming it supported Israeli genocide.
Despite efforts to calm the disturbance, the lecture was halted due to the inability of security forces to restore order.
Two ministers and the university rector have demanded accountability in response to the incident.
