According to Tekedra Mawakana, co-CEO of Waymo, the company aims to increase its weekly autonomous rides from the "hundreds of thousands" to one million by the end of 2026.

"It is imperative that we scale,"

said Mawakana, while speaking at TechCrunch Disrupt 2025. The company's expansion plan includes moving to new cities, entering international markets, and launching service at airports, all while maintaining a focus on safety.
