Swift Solar Deploys Perovskite Modules
Swift Solar, a US solar technology company, has deployed perovskite solar technology as part of a Department of Defence cyber warfare exercise in Virginia.
The deployment took place in Virginia Beach, VA, as part of the Cyber Fortress exercise, a programme where the Department of Defence models a cyberattack on the US grid.
- Swift Solar deployed its US-made perovskite tandem solar modules.
- The modules were used in tandem with the Rapid Deployment Hybrid MicroGrid (RDHM) system produced by Resilient Energy & Infrastructure.
The exercise showed the potential of high-efficiency perovskite solar products to “support energy resilience for national defence operations.
