A Delaware River Connections mural was recently unveiled on the side wall of the district office of state Rep.
The project was managed by Barb Baur, program manager at Tacony LAB Community Arts Center, with Meg Lemieur as the lead artist, assisted by Cody Stuhltrager and Andrew Geller.
The mural, located at 4725 Richmond St., features images of the area over the years, including the Lenape Nations, colonial and industrial times, and the Bridesburg of today.
Golden, who is retiring next July, noted that the new mural is one of more than 4,000 across Philadelphia, the most in the United States.
State Rep. Hohenstein expressed his satisfaction with the completion of the project, having wanted a mural on the wall since he took office in 2019.
Author's summary: A river-themed mural was unveiled in Philadelphia.
