Laugh Factory Chicago Manager Arrested By Feds
Laugh Factory Chicago is crowdsourcing to assist night manager Nathan Griffin with legal funds after his arrest on Friday morning.
Griffin, a US-born citizen, was tackled to the ground by masked federal agents outside the comedy club for attempting to intervene with an immigration operation.
- He was taken into custody without due process.
- A video of the arrest shows at least four agents in camouflage pushing Griffin to the ground and handcuffing him.
- His mother, Elaine Plybon, was briefly pinned down during the incident.
“Why are you doing this? Where are you taking him?”
Bystanders shouted as Griffin was put in the backseat.
