Man Shot by Police After Pursuit in Manchester, Conn.
A man was shot by police early Saturday morning after allegedly opening fire on officers during a pursuit that began with a traffic stop in Manchester, Conn., authorities said.
The incident began around 1:42 a.m. when a Manchester police officer pulled over a vehicle near 335 Center St. The driver initially stopped, then fled, prompting officers to follow the vehicle toward the westbound entrance to Interstate 84.

- The driver continued westbound on the highway, and the suspect fired at officers who were pursuing the vehicle.
- A Manchester officer returned fire, striking both the vehicle and the suspect.
