ASCL and NEU Support NAHT in Legal Action Against Ofsted
Two unions, the National Education Union (NEU) and the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL), will formally support the National Association of Head Teachers' (NAHT) legal action against Ofsted.
The NAHT filed a judicial review claim in May, citing concerns that the new inspection framework will "only increase high-stakes accountability and pressure".
- Ofsted's proposed framework includes colour-coded grades ranging from "causing concern" to "exemplary" across 16 inspection areas.
- The NEU and ASCL will provide witness statements for the NAHT's judicial review.
