Treatment Center Cited for False Fire Alarms
A Schuylkill County treatment facility has been cited for nearly two dozen false fire alarms in a year.
According to court documents, Butler Township Police cited the Gaudenzia Foundation Inc. on October 14, 2025, for multiple false alarms from their facility on Broad Street in Fountain Springs.
- 20 false alarms were transmitted between October 15, 2024, and October 14, 2025.
- Pennsylvania law prohibits more than three false alarms within a consecutive 12-month period.
Any person or entity that owns, uses, or possesses an alarm device or automatic dialing device may not cause or permit more than three false alarms within a consecutive 12-month period.
The organization will be fined for the incidents.
