Amazon Renames Fire TV Stick 4K to Reduce Confusion
The Fire TV Stick 4K has been renamed to the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus to simplify Amazon's streaming stick lineup.
Amazon's fall hardware event introduced the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, a $40 entry-level 4K streaming device, which caused confusion due to its similar name to the existing Fire TV Stick 4K.
Amazon acknowledged the issue and has now officially renamed the Fire TV Stick 4K to the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus, making it easier to differentiate between the three 4K Fire TV Stick models: the 4K Select, 4K Plus, and 4K Max.
