Paul Podbury: A Shining Example
Congratulations have been flowing in for Paul Podbury, co-president of the Woodend-Hesket Football Netball Club, after being named the 2025 AFL Victoria Metropolitan Community Volunteer of the Year.
At Ikon Park, Podbury received the award amid sustained applause and said later it was
“very humbling …. but nice to be recognised”at this level.
His wife Anya and Riddell District Football Netball League representatives attended the function to support Podbury, a well-known Woodend businessman and accountant who believes in the value of volunteerism.
Paul Podbury has set
a shining examplethrough his dedication to the community.
