Update: Power Outage in Downtown Okotoks
An unplanned power outage occurred in Okotoks on Tuesday, affecting a large part of the town.
The outage started just before 12:30 p.m. and was visible on the Fortis Alberta map as separate outages on the north and south ends of town.
Power was restored to the north side of town at around 12:50 p.m., but the outage continued on the south side according to the Fortis map.
The community can stay updated as more information becomes available.
Meanwhile, residents can connect with the community at weekly Pop-Up Cafés or vote at designated locations.
No official statement has been released on the cause of the outage.
