Boeing Unveils CxR Tiltrotor Drone Concept
Boeing has revealed its CxR unmanned tiltrotor concept, a modular drone designed to complement the US Army’s Apache and Chinook helicopters.
The CxR (Collaborative Transformational Rotorcraft) concept was first revealed ahead of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) 2025 Annual Meeting and Exposition.
Boeing engineers described the aircraft as a high-speed, unmanned tiltrotor able to perform reconnaissance, strike, and transport missions.
The CxR is part of Boeing's vision for a new class of unmanned tiltrotor aircraft designed to operate alongside crewed platforms in attack, reconnaissance, and logistics roles.
