Paris Jackson, daughter of Michael Jackson, has opened up about the physical damage caused by her previous drug addiction, which included alcohol and heroin.
In a TikTok video posted on November 10, Jackson shared that she has a perforated septum, a condition caused by drug use. She explained,
“I have a really loud whistle when I breathe through my nose, and that is because I have what is called a perforated septum.”
She used her phone’s light to show the hole inside her nose and clarified that a perforated septum differs from a deviated septum.
A perforated septum is a hole in the cartilage or bone between the nostrils. According to the Cleveland Clinic, this can occur due to injuries or conditions that damage the blood vessels in the nose.
Addressing viewers, Jackson said,
“And that is from what you think it’s from. Don’t do drugs, kids.”She added with nuance,
“Or do, I mean, everyone is going to have the experience they need to have with life. I’m not going to tell anyone what to do. But I don’t recommend it because it ruined my life.”
Paris Jackson warns about drug use, sharing how it caused a perforated septum and profoundly impacted her life, urging caution from her own experience.
