Davina McCall Supported by Celebrity Friends After Cancer Diagnosis

The presenter, 58, shared on social media that she had a biopsy after discovering a lump, which was removed in a lumpectomy just weeks ago. Alongside warm messages from fans, celebrity friends like Amanda Holden and Penny Lancaster offered their support.

Diagnosis and Treatment

In a video message, she emphasized her cancer was detected very very early, but she would still have five days of radiotherapy in January as an insurance policy to stay cancer-free.

"I was very angry when I found out, but I let go of that and I feel in a much more positive place now."

She expressed gratitude to the doctors, nurses, her family, and her fiancé, Michael Douglas. Posting the clip, Davina wrote: "The message here, is know your boobs. Sending out huge love."

Public Revelation

Davina first shared her diagnosis during her Dine With Davina charity event in Southampton. Her announcement surprised the audience, and she described how broadcaster Lorraine Kelly had put signs on doors reminding people to check their breasts, which prompted her to act.

"Every time I went for a wee I did that. It was still there, and then one morning I saw myself in the mirror and thought ‘I’m going to get that looked at.’"
