Environment Canada has issued a caution warning predicting that between 3 and 15 cm of snow could fall in the Ottawa region on Sunday.
After some fluctuations in the forecast throughout the day, Environment Canada confirmed mid-afternoon that the accumulation could range from 3 to 15 cm. Earlier, by Saturday afternoon, the maximum expected snowfall had been lowered to about 5 cm.
The snowfall is expected to begin Sunday morning and continue through Sunday night. The agency attributed the precipitation to a low-pressure system affecting the area.
“The Ottawa region can look forward to accumulating snow on Sunday,” Environment Canada indicated in its latest warning.
