During the event, Itsaragrisil, who is vice president for Asia and Oceania at the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) and leads the Thai host team, confronted Bosch about missing a sponsor photoshoot earlier the same day. A video circulating on social media shows him questioning her in front of other contestants.
About thirteen minutes into the event's livestream on Miss Universe Thailand’s Facebook page, Itsaragrisil asked the participants to raise their hands if they had not fulfilled promotional duties. He then singled out Bosch by name. When she stood, he addressed her directly:
“I heard you did not agree to post everything about Thailand, about every article of our own activities. Is it true?”
“You don't like to post everything because your director from Mexico ordered you to not pay any attention, to post about the host country? If you follow the orders from your national director, you are a dumb.”
He further emphasized his status, stating he is a “businessman” and “has a lot of money.”
