The German government has banned the Muslim organization Muslim Interaktiv, accusing it of violating human rights and democratic values. Interior Minister Dobrindt announced that the group posed a threat to Germany’s constitutional order by promoting antisemitism and discrimination against women and sexual minorities.
On Wednesday, several hundred police officers conducted raids at multiple locations associated with Muslim Interaktiv. Seven premises in the Mümmelmannsberg district of Hamburg were searched, alongside 12 other addresses in Berlin and the central state of Hesse. These raids also targeted two additional Muslim groups, Generation Islam and Reality Islam.
