Several Miss Universe contestants exited a room following a tense exchange between pageant organizer Nawat Itsaragrisil and Miss Mexico, Fátima Bosch. The incident was broadcast live on the pageant's official Facebook page on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
Contestants from various countries were seated in rows in front of Itsaragrisil when he addressed them directly, stating they were expected to "promote the host country."
"Be careful. You are in a game,"
he warned.
Itsaragrisil singled out Miss Mexico, Fátima Bosch, accusing her of refusing to participate in a photo shoot intended for social media promotion. He alleged that Bosch was following instructions from Mexico's pageant director not to post.
Bosch stood and denied these claims, attempting to explain her perspective. However, Itsaragrisil interrupted, demanding a verbal confirmation of her willingness to promote Thailand.
