Longines has introduced the Ultra-Chron Classic in 37mm and 40mm cases, a faithful recreation of the original high-beat Ultra-Chron from 1967.
Longines has a long history with high-frequency movements, dating back to 1910 when the company received a patent for a pocket chronograph capable of measuring 1/10th of a second.
In 1959, Longines presented its first wristwatch with a high-frequency movement, and in 1967, the brand introduced the Ultra-Chron ref. 7827, the first self-winding high-frequency wristwatch produced in high volumes.
