South Devon MP Caroline Voaden continues her campaign for a banking hub in Totnes, questioning a Treasury Minister in Parliament.
She asked if new regulation is needed to retain face-to-face banking services in rural areas, noting the Financial Conduct Authority protects access to cash, but no government body oversees face-to-face services.
Ms Voaden noted that Lloyds Banking Group will prevent customers from cashing cheques at Post Offices from January next year.
