US Secretary of War Visits Vietnam
A US delegation, led by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, is on an official visit to Vietnam from November 2-3.
On November 2, General Phan Van Giang, Vietnam's Minister of National Defence, hosted a welcome ceremony for Hegseth and his delegation. The two sides then held talks, where Giang stated that Hegseth's visit is significant, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Vietnam-US diplomatic relations (1995-2025).
The visit contributes to further strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace, cooperation, and sustainable development between the two countries, as well as their bilateral defence ties.
