Kyle Larson finished second at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, leading a race-high 129 laps.
Larson passed Kurt Busch for 20th on the all-time list with 10,356 laps led in his career.
He collected 19 stage points and moved 35 points above the cutline with two events left.
"Hats off to my team, too," Larson said. "We had an awesome day as well. Good points day, obviously.
Alex Bowman finished seventh after a strong run on Sunday.
Larson is in good shape to make more history in the weeks to come.
