Whitecaps FC Advance to West Semifinal
Vancouver Whitecaps FC are heading to the Western Conference semifinal after a dramatic shootout win against FC Dallas.
The team will host a semifinal match on November 22 at BC Place Stadium against either Los Angeles FC or Austin FC.
Ralph Priso scored his first goal of the season to tie Game 2, which ended with the Whitecaps winning in a shootout at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.
Priso's goal marked his third career MLS goal and made him the 21st player to score for the Whitecaps in MLS play this season, setting a new league record.
FC Dallas had taken the lead in the 25th minute with a goal from Petar Musa, but Priso's late equalizer sent the game to a shootout, which the Whitecaps won.
The Whitecaps will look to reach the MLS conference final for the first time in club history.
