First Thunder-and-Hailstorm of Fall Strikes Seattle
Buckets of rain hit Seattle and neighboring cities in the Puget Sound region, followed by a hailstorm with thunder and lightning.
Sunday's storm briefly covered streets with hail before the rain washed it away. Thunder continued for about an hour.
This is the first such storm to hit Seattle this fall. The National Weather Service expects moderate to heavy rain to last through 10 p.m., lightening by 7 p.m.
Seattle and surrounding areas have been experiencing rain since Thursday, with highs in the low 60s.
