California can’t get out of its own way on geothermal

California's Geothermal Conundrum

California's Governor Newsom has vetoed popular legislation that would have promoted geothermal projects in the state.

In the early 2000s, the owners of the Mammoth Pacific geothermal station proposed an expansion near Yosemite National Park, claiming the new wells would have minimal environmental impact.
