Westport Retain Mayo LGFA Senior Crown
Westport have secured the Mayo LGFA Senior title against Knockmore in MacHale Park.
The team, led by Pop Geraghty, had a strong second half, which paved the way for their victory.
After a game of two halves, the sky-blue sisters upped the ante and managed to hold on in the face of a late Knockmore fightback to retain their title and unleash scenes of wild celebration.
Their captain, Janette O'Malley, expressed her ecstasy in a post-match interview with The Mayo News.
