Anger after Elderly Day Care Centre Users Told to Stop Using It
A petition with 1,435 signatures is to be heard by senior Ceredigion councillors, calling for users of Lampeter's Canolfan Steffan day care centre to continue using it despite moving to neighbouring Carmarthenshire.
The petition was set up by Abby White on behalf of her brother Rory, who has been attending the centre since 2008.
My brother, Rory, was recently given some bad news…that he will have to stop attending Canolfan Steffan, a day centre in Lampeter. He has been attending since 2008 - that's 17 years.
Rory has built friendships with staff and the other people who attend the day centre.
The petition will come before the November 4 meeting of Ceredigion County Council's Cabinet.
