Blue Devils Face Cross-County Rival Effingham County
The Blue Devils are one win away from their first region title since 2011, with cross-county rival Effingham County coming to Womack Field on Friday night.
Coach Matt Dobson, in his third year, has led the team to a strong season, following an improbable playoff run in his first year. Last Friday, the Blue Devils defeated South Effingham 27-17, with Dobson noting it wasn't their finest outing.
It says a lot about where this team has gotten that we can win a game where we weren’t necessarily at our best.
Dobson credited "playing complementary football" as the key to their victory. A win on Friday will secure the region title for the Blue Devils.
