BNP Aims to Build Trillion-Dollar Economy by 2034

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has pledged to build an inclusive trillion-dollar economy by 2034 if his party returns to power.

In a message on his verified Facebook page, he said BNP envisions a modern, people-centered Bangladesh where no woman has to choose between family and career.

Only 43% of women are in the workforce compared to 80% of men, which remains a major barrier to national progress.

Plans for Women's Empowerment

Employers providing childcare facilities would receive tax benefits and CSR credits, while caregivers would be trained and certified under ministry standards.

Tarique believes such reforms could raise women’s employment, boost family income, strengthen the middle class, and add up to 1% to GDP.

Author's summary: BNP aims to build a trillion-dollar economy by 2034 with a focus on women's empowerment.
