County Agencies Respond to SNAP Cut-Off
As the holidays approach amidst the second longest government shutdown in history, various entities are offering assistance with food insecurity and other needs.
Holiday Assistance
The Community Resource Center and other organizations are providing support to those struggling.
- House of Grace is allowing donors to adopt needy families with a $40 donation per family, providing a full Thanksgiving dinner.
- The Shepherd's Table lunch distribution at the Community Resource Center serves meals three times a week to around 45 recipients.
Denise Reynolds and her volunteers have been serving meals at the CRC since February, including pasta salad, chips, and pretzels.
These efforts aim to make the holidays brighter for those in need.
