Moreno is leading the city's efforts to secure a $125 million bailout from the Louisiana State Bond Commission. This move is aimed at covering the significant financial hole caused by the city's poor fiscal management.
While one might feel sympathetic towards Moreno, given the challenging start to her mayoral term, it's worth noting that she has been a member of the city council for some time.
