Trump Responds to Putin's Comments on Nobel Peace Prize
Donald Trump has shared his thanks after Vladimir Putin spoke out on his behalf regarding the Nobel Peace Prize decision.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize to Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado. Putin criticized the decision, stating it has caused the prize to lose 'credibility'.
There have been cases where the committee has awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to people who have done nothing for peace. In my view, these decisions have done enormous damage to the prestige of this prize.
Putin also praised Trump, saying he 'is truly doing a lot to resolve complex crises that have dragged on for years, even decades,' while speaking to reporters in Tajikistan.
Trump had expressed his desire to win the award this year, feeling deserving of it.
