San Luis Obispo County has celebrated the grand opening of its new public safety communications center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The 20,193 square foot two-story building, located in Templeton, will bring together emergency dispatch services for the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office and San Luis Obispo County Fire Department.
County officials believe that having both agencies in one building will greatly improve emergency responses, especially during significant incidents.
