Police Make Shock Discovery After Stopping Car
Three people have been arrested after police found a firearm and two knives in a car on the A44.
In the early hours of October 12, the Cotswold Neighbouring Policing team were on a routine patrol near Stow-on-the-Wold when they observed a vehicle behaving unusually.
- The vehicle came to a sudden stop and activated its hazard lights.
- Officers turned back to check on the vehicle and noticed an air rifle in the passenger footwell.
- A police search of the vehicle was conducted, where police found two knives.
The driver stated that they and the two passengers were out attempting to shoot pheasants.
