The Renters' Rights Bill (RRB) has been criticized for its ineffective approach to addressing the housing crisis.
A key issue with the RRB is that it fails to address the root cause of the problem, which is insufficient housing supply.
It isn’t bogey landlords. The true cause of homelessness, high rents, and lack of social housing has little to do with landlords. It’s simply and very obviously a ‘LACK OF HOUSING’.
The RRB's misdirected legislation will ultimately harm vulnerable social tenants, a group that Labour has traditionally supported.
