The Tuolumne County District Attorney's Office has announced that it will receive additional state funding to continue its work on DUI prosecutions.
With a conviction rate of 325 cases, the DUI Prosecution Unit, which consists of just one experienced prosecutor, has secured a grant of $245,335 for the 2025-2026 grant year.
The unit was created in October 2024 with initial funding of $208,238, which expired at the end of the last month. The District Attorney's Office reports a successful first year, with the following statistics:
