Thousands of residents in Burlington and Sedro-Woolley were left without power on Saturday morning after a car crash caused heavy damage to transformers.
A car accident at the intersection of Wicker Road and Fruitdale Road around 7 a.m. likely led to the power outage, which affected over 5,400 customers in the area.
The Sedro-Woolley police said the crash likely led to the large power outage.
Power was mostly restored to residents by Saturday afternoon, with the remaining customers expected to have power restored by 2:30 p.m.
