Former Tema West MP, Irene Naa Torshie Addo, paid tribute to the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, describing her as "one of Ghana's most courageous daughters and transformative leaders."
Her loss is not only personal to many of us who admired her strength, but also national, for Ghana has lost one of its most courageous daughters and transformative leaders.
Naa Torshie noted that Nana Konadu was "more than a First Lady" and a phenomenon whose voice carried clarity, strength, and an unyielding belief in Ghana's potential.
She reflected on the lessons she learned from Nana Konadu:
From her, I learnt that leadership demands courage — the courage to stand for what is right, to speak when silence is convenient, and to act when others hesitate.
Author's summary: Nana Konadu remembered as courageous leader.
